Dale S. Kasofsky

Dale Kasofsky is the founder of the Law Office of Dale Kasofsky, PC, representing clients in serious commercial vehicle (18-wheeler) accidents, automobile collisions, personal injury, premises liability, and product liability matters throughout Texas and New York.

Mr. Kasofsky was first licensed to practice law in New York in 1990 and in Texas in 1992. He is admitted to practice before all federal district courts in both states, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

He earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and his Juris Doctor from Albany Law School of Union University.

Following law school, Mr. Kasofsky served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Reynaldo G. Garza of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and to the Honorable Filemon B. Vela Sr. of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Judge Garza was the first Mexican American appointed to the federal bench and the first named to a U.S. Court of Appeals; Judge Vela was later appointed to the Southern District of Texas seat Judge Garza vacated upon his elevation to the Fifth Circuit. Clerking for these two respected jurists gave Mr. Kasofsky a firsthand view, early in his career, of how federal judges evaluate evidence, arguments, and trial strategy — a perspective that has informed his approach to litigation ever since.

Mr. Kasofsky began his career in private practice with defense firms, where he learned to evaluate, prepare, and try cases from the defense side. Building on that foundation, he later expanded his practice to represent both plaintiffs and defendants, giving him a well-rounded understanding of how opposing counsel and insurance carriers approach a case — insight that continues to shape his case evaluations and trial strategy today. He has represented clients from all over the United States, from Mexico and Latin America.  These cases have taken him to all these places to meet with his clients and to work on their matters.

Over more than three decades of practice, Mr. Kasofsky has obtained numerous trial verdicts and settlements in the tens of millions of dollars on behalf of his clients in commercial trucking accidents, serious automobile collisions, premises liability claims, and product liability litigation.
